Accessibility

Clear30 is committed to making our education program usable by everyone, including students, faculty, and staff with disabilities. We design the program to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Revised Section 508 standards, and we review it on an ongoing basis as the product evolves.

What we've built in

• Every screen is fully operable by keyboard, with no keyboard traps.
• Interactive elements use standard names, roles, and states so screen readers describe them accurately.
• Closed captions are provided for every instructional video.
• Motion and animation respect your device's reduced motion setting.
• Text and interface colors meet minimum contrast requirements.
• A skip link, landmark regions, and a clear heading structure make it easy to navigate directly to page content.

Known limitations

On some questions, choosing a single-choice answer moves you straight to the next question. That is deliberate, so the program keeps its pace, but it does mean the screen changes without you asking it to. Everywhere else you advance with an explicit Continue button and there is no time limit on any screen.

A small number of elements pick up a partner school's own brand color, so their contrast depends on the color that school has chosen.

We test with automated scanning, manual review of every interactive component, text resize and reflow at 200% and 400% zoom, measured contrast on every color pair used for interactive text, and a screen reader pass using VoiceOver. In August 2026 a partner university's accessibility office also evaluated the student flow independently; we fixed everything they found except the auto-advance above, which we kept by design and disclose here and in our Accessibility Conformance Report. We're continuing to expand that testing to other assistive technologies.
